Election Commissioner to Conduct Voter Registration Prior to Norris School Bond Special Election

Lincoln - In preparation for the November 14, 2017, Norris School Bond Special Election, the Lancaster County Election Commissioner's Office will conduct voter registration from 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 26th, at the U-Stop, 18940 S. 68th St, Hickman.

Any Nebraska resident who will be 18 on or before November 7, 2017, has moved, changed his or her name, or would like to change political party affiliation, may register to vote at that time.

Individuals may also register to vote through the mail. Mail-in registration forms are available at most city or village offices, libraries, and post offices. A voter registration application is also available on the Election Commissioner's web site at The form may be downloaded, printed, signed and mailed to the Election Commissioner at 601 North 46th St., Lincoln, NE 68503. Mail-in registration forms must be post marked no later than Friday, October 27th to be effective for the November 14th Special Election.

Voters may also register to vote online as long as they have a Nebraska Driver's License or State Identification Card using the Nebraska online voter registration site at: The deadline to register to vote online or through a government agency such as the Department of Motor Vehicles is also Friday, October 27th.

Residents may also register to vote in person at the Election Commissioner's office, 601 North 46th Street, Lincoln, week-days from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. through Thursday, November 2nd and from 8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. on Friday, November 3rd.
