  • Voter Registration Deadline is Fri., March 29th — 3/25

    Lincoln - Lancaster County Election Commissioner David Shively today reminded voters that the last day to register to vote for the April 9th Lincoln City Primary Election is Friday, March 29th. However, voters must register to vote in person. The date to register online or to have a mail-in voter registration application form postmarked was Friday, March 22nd.

  • Election Commissioner Announces Voter Registration Sites — 3/15

    LINCOLN -- The Lancaster County Election Commissioner will conduct voter registration at three sites from Saturday, March 16th through Thursday, March 21st. Any Nebraska resident who will be 18 on or before November 5, 2019, has moved, changed his or her name, or would like to change their political party affiliation, may register to vote at the following times and locations:

    Ms. Ray failed to file with the Nebraska Accountability and Disclosure Commission (NADC), a Statement of Financial Interests commonly referred to as NADC Form C-1 by Tuesday, March 12th.

  • Filing Deadlines for Lincoln City Elections — 2/21

    Lincoln - Lancaster County Election Commissioner David Shively reminded potential candidates that filing deadlines for the April 9th Lincoln City Primary Election are quickly approaching. Shively also reminded potential candidates that filing deadlines are different for candidates for the Lincoln Board of Education than they are for Lincoln Mayor, Lincoln City Council, and Lincoln Airport Authority.


  • County Agencies Advise Caution During Upcoming Winter Storm — 1/17

    Lincoln, NE - January 17, 2019 - Lancaster County Emergency Management, Engineer Pam Dingman and Lancaster County Sheriff Wagner urge caution and preparation for Lancaster County residents during the anticipated winter storm on Friday, January 18 and Saturday, January 19, 2019. Lancaster County will be in a Winter Weather Advisory from 12:00 noon, Friday, Jan 18 through 6:00am Saturday, Jan 19. Snowfall estimates for southeast Nebraska are 2 to 5 inches total.

  • Commissioners Seeking Volunteers for Animal Feeding Operations Work Group — 1/11

    Lincoln, NE - January 11, 2019 - The Lancaster County Board of Commissioners is seeking volunteers to sit on a working group to address Concentrated Animal Feeding Operations (CAFOs). This working group will examine the commercial feedlot zoning regulations in the County.

  • Emergency Management to Host Open House of New Facility — 1/10

    Lincoln, NE - January 10, 2019 - Lincoln-Lancaster County Emergency Operations Center has re-located to a new facility and is hosting an open house on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 from 9-11 am. The new facility is located at 1200 Radcliff, Suite 200.

  • Preliminary Real Property Values for 2019 — 1/9

    Lincoln, NE - January 9, 2019 - On January 9, 2019 Lancaster County preliminary real property values for 2019 were posted on the Lancaster County Assessor's website. Nebraska law gives real property owners the right to meet in person with a representative from the Assessor's Office to discuss how the preliminary value was determined and to provide information to the Assessor relevant to the property value.
