Early/Absentee Ballot Request Form

Nebraska Law requires a signature on all requests for an Early/Absentee Ballot.

Please note:
Requests for Early/Absentee Ballots to be mailed must be received in the Election Commissioner's office by the Wednesday prior to the election. After that deadline, voters interested in casting an early/absentee ballot must personally come into the election office and vote an early/absentee ballot or pick up a ballot. The Ballot must be voted and returned to the Election Commissioner's Office by 8:00 p.m. on election day.

Voters have three options to obtain an early/absentee ballot. Those options are listed below:

Option 1:
Voters may download the Lancaster County Nebraska Early/Absentee Ballot Request Form (the link is located below), print, complete the form, sign it, and then mail or fax the form to the Election Office by the deadline.

Option 2:
If you do not have access to a printer to print off the Early/Absentee Ballot Request form above, please contact the Lancaster County Election Commissioner's Office at (402) 441-7311 during regular offices hours (8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.) to request that an Early Absentee Ballot Request Form be mailed or faxed to you. You may also simply write a letter requesting that an early/absentee ballot be mailed to you by including your name, your address, and the address where you would like the early/absentee ballot sent if it is different than your registered address. Please be sure to sign the letter.

Option 3:
Beginning on Monday, April 14, 2014 for the Primary Election and on Monday, October 4, 2014 for the General Election, voters may come directly to the Lancaster County Election Commissioner's Office and cast an Early/Absentee Ballot in person or to take a ballot with them.

The Election Commissioner's Office is located at 601 North 46th Street, Lincoln, and is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
