Category - Productivity and Customer Relations
The Lancaster County Board of Commissioners presented its September, 2011 Commissioners Award of Excellence to Diane Ness Kirchhoff in the categories of Productivity and Customer Relations. Diane works as a Mental Health Program Manager at the Community Mental Health Center. She began working for the County on June 21, 1984, and was nominated for this award by Travis Parker.
Diane has been a long-time employee of the Community Mental Health Center as a program manager for the Partial Hospitalization/Day Treatment Program. In his nomination, Travis states "While Diane certainly illustrates many of the characteristics, professional courtesies and expertise we have come to know and expect from all Lancaster County employees, Diane has been asked to go above and beyond and has done so in a professional manner. Some reorganization took place within the department at the end of 2009, and Diane was asked to assume new responsibilities. In 2011 the Community Mental Health Center experienced a reduction in force and Diane was again asked to take on additional supervisory and programmatic responsibilities. She has now merged three divisions into one larger division and has worked tirelessly so services to the consumers have not been affected. She has created a team atmosphere for the staff she supervises."
Deb Schorr, Lancaster County Board of Commissioners Chair, stated "The Board is pleased to recognize Diane for her outstanding work and dedication to the services she and her staff provide. On behalf of the Board I want to congratulate Diane on this award". The Commissioners Award of Excellence award recognizes employees who consistently provideoutstanding service and work that demonstrates exemplary personal commitment to Lancaster County.
