Commissioner's Award of Excellence
- MAY 2011 WINNER - Todd Tuet, Heavy Truck Operator
Category - Valor
The Lancaster County Board of Commissioners presented its May, 2011 Commissioners Award of Excellence to Todd Tuet, in the category of Valor. Todd works as a Heavy Truck Operator in the County Engineering Department, beginning his work for Lancaster County in July, 2010. He was nominated for this award by Scott Gagner.
On January 10, 2011, Todd was plowing snow when he noticed an elderly lady lying partially on the road, unable to get up. He immediately stopped to help. Todd helped her up and walked her into her house. He asked if she needed him to call 9-1-1, but she just wanted to get inside to warm up and get dry clothing. She was very grateful for Todd's assistance due to the weather and bad road conditions. Todd reported this incident and asked someone to check on this citizen.
Deb Schorr, Lancaster County Board of Commissioners Chair, stated "The Board is pleased to recognize Todd for this outstanding act of kindness and his nonstop dedication to help the public. On behalf of the Board I want to congratulate Todd on this award". The Commissioners Award of Excellence award recognizes employees who consistently provide outstanding service and work that demonstrates exemplary personal commitment to Lancaster County.
