Crime Mapping

The Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigation Division prepares monthly crime maps to help deputies and investigators respond more appropriately to areas needing attention. For example, if there are an inordinate amount of traffic accidents in a particular area, the patrol division will respond by planning a special traffic enforcement selective where needed. Crime trends such as thefts from automobiles could also be responded to by focusing more patrol cars to the particular location during the times when the thefts are occurring.

Interactive crime maps are available at the links listed below and on the left column of this page. Viewing crime maps requires the free Google Earth web browser plugin. On future visits, be sure to clear your browsing history to load the newest map data.
