County Employees Invited To Workout At New Aging Partners 9th And "J" Street Fitness Center

You may have noticed a new tenant in the 9th and J Street Building to the west of the County-City Building. The Aging Partners Health and Fitness Center opened their new facility on March 5, and they invite County employees to get a quick workout in over lunch or whenever it works into your schedule.

The new Fitness Center will be open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays and will provide a variety of fitness classes, exercise and cardio equipment. There is a $10 suggested monthly contribution for age 60 and over and a $15 monthly fee for under age 60. Expanded hours are being considered. Any changes will be communicated through the Employee LINC newsletter.

Fitness, wellness and fall prevention classes will continue to be offered at the new Fitness Center, as well as at various other locations throughout the community. All ages are invited and welcome to work out at the Fitness Center and attend classes. The new Fitness Center will occupy the building whose past tenants have included Community Corrections, Juvenile Drug Court, Lancaster County Human Services and the Lancaster County Election Commission.

Aging Partners Health and Fitness programs focus on strength, vitality, injury prevention and health. Individuals are encouraged to take measures that decrease risk, promote optimum health and encourage independent living.
