Keno Human Services Prevention Fund Accepting Grant Applications

Lincoln, NE - October 31, 2017- The Lincoln/Lancaster Keno Human Services Prevention Fund is now accepting applications for its 42nd round of grant funding. This round has approximately $170,000 available to non-profit agencies who meet the funding guidelines.

The Keno Human Services Prevention Fund is designed to help fund programs for children and families in an effort to prevent crisis situations through early intervention. The Keno Human Services Prevention Fund was created seventeen years ago when the City of Lincoln and Lancaster County formed a nine-person Keno Human Services Prevention Advisory Board. It was determined that 5% of the gross profits from Keno would be set aside for prevention purposes. Organizations must be 501(c)(3), non-profit organizations to apply.

Interested applicants should review the newly revised guidelines and application which can be found at: Human Services. One hard copy and one electronic copy of the application is due no later than 5pm on Monday, November 20, 2017 to 555 S. 10th Street, Suite 107 and emailed to jryan@lancaster.ne.gov.
