Palmyra School District Special Bond Election
to be Conducted Through the Mail

Lincoln - The Lancaster County Election Commissioner is conducting a Special Mail-in School Bond Election for Palmyra School District OR-1 on Tuesday, November 10, 2015. The special election will be conducted entirely by mail.

Ballots for the special mail-in election were mailed to all voters of the Palmyra School District on Tuesday, October 20, 2015. Ballots may either be returned through the mail or by hand delivering the ballots to the Lancaster County Election Commissioner's Office, 601 North 46th Street, Lincoln. All ballots must be in the procession of the Lancaster County Election Commissioner's Office no later than 5:00 p.m. on Election Day, Tuesday, November 10, 2015.

The Palmyra School District includes voters in portions of Lancaster and Otoe Counties. Due to the fact that the majority of voters reside in Lancaster County, the Lancaster County Election Commissioner is in charge of conducting the special election.

Lancaster County Election Commissioner David Shively decided to conduct the election through the mail with the approval of Nebraska Secretary of State John Gale.

Citizens residing in the Palmyra School District who are not currently registered to vote have until 6:00 p.m. on Friday, October 30, 2015 to register to vote in person at their respective Election Commissioner or County Clerk's offices. The contact information is listed below:
