Road Improvement District Elections
To Be Conducted Through the Mail

Lincoln Ė Lancaster County Election Commissioner will conduct an election for eight road improvement districts on Tuesday, September 13, 2011. The election will be for members of the districtsí Boards of Trustees and will be conducted entirely by mail.

The eight road improvement districts are: Al Larson, Clarendon Hills, Country Lane Estates, Deerhaven, Highlands, Nealrene, Ridgewood, and Yankee Ridge. There are approximately 700 registered voters within those eight districts.

Ballots for the all mail election will be mailed to voters of the various road improvement districts on Wednesday, August 24, 2011. Ballots may either be returned through the mail or may be hand delivered to the Lancaster County Election Commissionerís Office, 601 North 46th Street, Lincoln between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. week-days or between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. on Election Day, Tuesday, September 13, 2011.

Citizens residing in the road improvement districts who are not currently registered to vote have until Friday, August 26, 2011, to register through the mail or until 6:00 p.m. on Friday, September 2, 2011 to register in person at the Lancaster County Election Commissionerís office, 601 North 46th Street in Lincoln.
