AGENDA For a Meeting of The Lancaster County Board of Commissioners to Be
Held Tuesday, March 17, 1998 at 1:30 p.m. in The County Commissioners
Hearing Room, First Floor, County-City Building.
1) MINUTES: Approval of the minutes of the Board of Commissioners meeting
held on Tuesday, March 10, 1998. (A copy of the minutes is on file in
the Office of the Lancaster County Clerk.)
2) CLAIMS: Approval of all claims processed through Tuesday,
March 17, 1998.
3) ITEMS OF PUBLIC PARTICIPATION: It is the policy of the Lancaster
County Board of Commissioners to accommodate the public to the greatest
extent possible. Therefore, this agenda has been prepared with items of
greatest public interest at the beginning with more routine items toward
the end as a courtesy to those who wish to speak with the County Board
at this meeting. If you are here to participate on an item and need
special consideration because of a schedule conflict or some other

for $25,148.46, for communication equipment for Lancaster Manor.

County Board of Commissioners which have been previously supplied to
each Commissioner in writing, which are relatively routine and which are
expected to be adopted without dissent. Any individual item may be
removed for special discussion and consideration by a Commissioner or by

exception, these items will be approved as one with a single vote of the

amends Chapter III, Plan Maintenance and Implementation, to add a

B. A resolution regarding Comprehensive Plan Amendment 94-23-2 which
amends Chapter III, Land Use Plan, to add "New Urban Neighborhood
and Urban Village" strategies. (98-570)
C. A resolution regarding Comprehensive Plan Amendment 94-23-3 which
amends Chapter IV, Transportation, to add a "Dominant Arterial" road
category and to amend Figures 29 and 32 to designated Yankee Hill
Road and South 40th Street south of Yankee Hill Road as

D. A resolution regarding Comprehensive Plan Amendment 94-23-4 which
amends Figures 16 and 65 to expand the future service limit by
identifying urban uses and service needs in the area of Highway 77

E. A resolution regarding Comprehensive Plan Amendment 94-23-5a which
amends Figures 16 and 65 by expanding the future service limit by
identifying urban uses and service needs generally in the vicinity

F. A resolution regarding Comprehensive Plan Amendment 94-23-5b which
amends Figure 16 by adding 160 acres to the future service limit

amends Figures 27, 28 and 31 to designate Northwest 56th Street
and West Adams Street as Minor Arterials with potential future

amends Figure 65 to expand the future service limit by identifying
urban uses and service needs in the area from 14th Street to

A. The Lancaster County Board of Commissioners will hold a meeting on
Thursday, March 19, 1998 at 8 a.m. in the Conference Room, #113, on
the first floor of the County-City Building.
B. A public hearing will be held on Tuesday, March 24, 1998 at 1:30p.m.
in the County Commissioners/City Council Chambers, #112, on the
first floor of the County-City Building for a County Special Permit,
requested by D. Todd Boellstorff, for mining and excavation of soil
on property located north and west of the corner of South 96th
Street and Olive Creek Road in Lancaster County, Nebraska.
