Jeff Bliemeister was promoted to Chief Deputy in July of 2012. He began his service with the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office in 1996 following graduation from Nebraska Wesleyan University. Chief Deputy Bliemeister was promoted to Sergeant in 2003 and has supervised in the Criminal Investigations, Patrol, Special Services and Administrative Support Divisions. Prior to his promotion to Chief Deputy, he was a member of the Tactical Response Unit since 2001, serving as the Team Leader for seven years. Chief Deputy Bliemeister was a member of the Crime Scene Investigations Unit and was the Field Training Officer coordinator. He holds a Professional Instructor Certification for the Nebraska Law Enforcement Training Center and obtained certification from the International Association for Identification as a crime scene investigator. Chief Deputy Bliemeister has published articles in professional journals. He is active in his church and community serving in the past as the public policy advocate for Mother’s Against Drunk Drivers and currently on the board of directors for the Boys and Girls Club of Lincoln/Lancaster County. Chief Deputy Bliemeister is originally from West Point, Nebraska. He and his wife, Ronda have two daughters, Kaelee and Ellie. |
