2009 Fair Housing Conference

The Lincoln Commission on Human Rights, along with corporate sponsors, has hosted a annual Fair Housing Conference since 2002. This conference has become well-known throughout the Midwest, attracting private individuals, realtors and participants from government agencies. This Fair Housing Conference is unique in that it is completely devoted to the issues and challenges in the area of fair housing.

This year’s conference was held on Tuesday, April 21 and Wednesday, April 22 at the Cornhusker Marriott Hotel and Conference Center in Lincoln, Nebraska.

A highlight of the Fair Housing Conference is the Fair Housing Award which is awarded to a person, organization or formalized group who has made significant contributions to providing equal opportunity in the field of housing. Someone whose achievements have given new meaning to ‘fair housing’. This may be:
